I've been at this Internet marketing racket for a while now. Did I say racket? Well that's what it can be, if you let it. I was trying to do this on a shoestring budget. I'm sure you know what I mean. Excuse me I am going on a bit of a rant.
I started off by picking a product that I just knew everyone had to have. Built a site. Built a capture page. And advertised, advertised, and advertised some more. Sitting back waiting for all that money to start rolling in. And waiting, and waiting, and waiting... By the way, I did buy one of those courses that teach you how to advertise like the big boys. You have to know what you're doing after all. And all I got out of that course was just enough information to get your mouth watering and 30 e-mails to sign up for his $600 e course to get the rest of the information he left out. You know how those back end sales work. wink-wink! Well the $40 I spent on the course, I just consider that an application fee to see if I was stupid enough to spend $600 to get the rest of the information. What a joke! And try to get your money back from these idiots. Anyway, all I ended up with was 1000 clicks, no sales and a nice advertising bill.
Maybe I had the wrong product? Bought a course to find the right product to sell. Yes, they have them. How to use all of the gravity and momentum BS to pick the right product to sell. They got me again, Sign up for their $200 webinars. For what? You guessed it, the rest of the information. By now I'm looking in the mirror to see if someone has written idiot on my forehead. By this time 2000 clicks and, OMG!, one sale. That was another $30 well spent. And no, I didn't sign up for their $200 webinars! And I checked the mirror, no idiot on the forehead!
I really needed a break. I didn't pull the plug, just pushed the pause button. After all, there is money to be made on the net. I spent some time just looking around trying to get a handle on this advertising thing. Pay per click, ad placement services, free advertising, writing articles, and so on. I got myself pumped back up and jumped back in, here we go again. I'm the type of person that is going to ride the horse until it won't lift another leg. And that's just what I did. No more good money to throw after the bad. I was done. All tapped out.
I got up that Sunday morning, sitting at the table drinking coffee and looking at the net. And I know what you're thinking. Maybe if I attended Sunday services more often, instead of drinking coffee and checking out the net, I wouldn't have these issues. I can't say it hasn't crossed my mind. But anyway, I was sitting there trying to figure out how 3063 clicks produces just one sale. Don't figure the sales percentage on that, I'll cry again. Looking at the money I spent to get my whopping $28.97 commission. That I can't get anyway, because I didn't sell enough! &#%@!!! Excuse me while I wipe my eyes. I'm wondering how this could happen as I'm wiping the idiot off of my forehead. Trying to figure out if I should let a dead horse lay, if you will.
I stumbled on to something earlier that morning I just couldn't let go of. It had BS written all over it, when I first looked at it. They were calling it a goldmine on the net for gods sake. But, I kept coming back to it. The law of attraction, not wanting to let go, insanity, maybe all of the above. These crazy folks were telling me they were going to make me money while I advertise my products with them. Again the BS alarm was sounding loudly. Every time I got online I found myself on their site. I studied it and tore this program apart. And they still said I was going to make money while advertising with them. They were going to put my ads in front of qualified buyers. Buyers that wanted to buy my product. There goes that alarm again. Have you ever done anything so stupid you wanted to just slap yourself for it. But it turns out so well, you looked like you actually knew what you were doing. You know, fall into a pile of it and come out smelling like a rose. Well that's what I did. I fell smooth into it.
I can't believe I did it, but I did. I joined up. I spent my $5.75 and signed up. $5.75??? Yep, $5.75! Less than a pack of smokes most places. Or a cup of coffee or two, depending where you get your coffee. Not that I could have afforded much more than that at the time. And you know what? I placed my ad and got two sales the first day! $64.00 commish on a $5.75 ad bill, you can figure the percentage on that one. BIG SMILE! I finished the week with 11 of those. I guess their buyers really do want to buy. And my second week was a little better. And I also have people coming in under me, just like they said I would. This thing amazes me! Inexpensive advertising and getting to reap the benefits of an earning vehicle that's put in place. And I'm not talking about having to wait months to see this happen either. Place your ad, sell your product and everything else takes care of itself. You can help it along if you'd like, but it happens anyway.
Go to this site and read. Don't just skim it like I did at first. Read it, spend 30-45 minutes looking it over. The Opportunity and FAQs pages are must reads. Turn the volume down on your BS alarm, kick the tires, take it for a spin. You may have just found a Subaru that drives like a Cadillac. Mine is driving like a dream. And now the only Internet marketing racket going on around here, is my sweethearts. I don't know what's worst, the celebration dinners or my original advertising bills. But what a good time we're having. If your not having that much fun with your marketing campaigns then check it out.
